Cat Houses. Kotofeynya Public Garden

The most unique spot in Zelenogradsk, which has firmly cemented the city's unofficial title as the "cat capital" of Russia.

The main highlight of this place is a real mini-town for cats. It features specially built cat houses where the animals can shelter from the rain and cold, alongside food dispensers so that anyone can feed the local furry residents. At the entrances to the square, there are even fully functioning "cat traffic lights," which have become one of the signature symbols of Zelenogradsk.

Although small, the square is incredibly atmospheric: benches shaded by trees, vibrant flowerbeds, a cozy coffee shop, and free-roaming cats all come together to create a perfect sense of resort-town serenity.
